ATLAS

ATLAS ( ATLantic Academy of Space) is a new educational initiative that will introduce Atlantic Canadian high school students to space engineering and technology through an intensive two-week CubeSat satellite design program at Dalhousie University. ATLAS will work towards gender parity and a target of 50% Indigenous and Black student enrollment, addressing a need for increased diversity in the sector. Building off of the satellite design program outcomes, a workshop series will be delivered in high school classrooms as a means of extending the impact of the program. ATLAS will be provided free of charge to high school students in the region providing critical guidance and insight into STEM careers and academic opportunities within the space sector.
